This lady worked for Gibson as an engraver.  Posted in the lounge but I am sure some here will want to see this!

That is interesting. Tons of history there. It looked as if there were a few plates made for the Hummingbird,  but the ones shown in metal did not have the likeness of a hummingbird on them:

Yes, saw it earlier this morning and thought about posting it - either in Lounge or here. Then dropped the idea because there wasn't that much acoustic stuff in the film. 

But glad you did it. It's an intriguing little visit.

The ones to the left are Dove roses - the Bird seems a bit off to me. A standard guard perhaps. .

Thanks. That makes sense. Well, at least I had fun looking at other models, including Epiphone, to see what guitar that p/g design went to.

Maybe the Bird guard was modified from Hartford Snyder's design.

^ It looks like a cheap copy found and used instead of the real thing -
