heymisterk Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Hi SG Fans, I used to have a late-'90s Guild S-100. I LOVED it, but when I ran into some trouble with my finances, I had to let it go. Now, I have an opportunity to purchase a '71 S-100. Does anyone know anything about this model? It has the original Guild 'buckers, and is is decent shape. Can anyone comment on the sound of these earlier models? It doesn't have the "acorn carvings" on the body as some do. It looks sweet, but if anyone has any expertise or opinion, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!
yoda Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I played an early seventies s-100 that was a friends it sounded really nice. how much can you get it for? if it is reasonable do it.

yoda Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 not as cutting (hot) a little cooler sounding probably for like an older sg, not the hotter newer sg standards.
NeoConMan Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Get it, as long as you don't have to pay SG money for it.
