duane v
I thought these items were all long gone, and I didn't really lose any sleep over it, but what a pleasant surprise when I was looking for my DOD flanger there was this box with a red folder on top of it and low and behold there it all was. I hadn't laid eyes on this stuff since 2003. It's all gonna stay in the case since I play my Casino on regular bases. 2
Phil OKeefe
That was a nice, unexpected find! What color is your Lennon Casino, Duane? Is it natural, or is it a burst?

Phil OKeefe
Dude, my philosophy is that they're meant to be played, so keep rocking the heck out of it! 🤘

Dub-T-123
You have a really nice collection. I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off that Casino either a good casino or 330 has such a great sound
Phil OKeefe
My Casino isn't a Lennon, it's a MIK (Peerless) from 2001. I was tempted to get a turquoise one, but the shop sold it before I could get back there to buy it. I thought about getting a burst or a natural, but those are so tied to John Lennon in my mind that I didn't really feel right about it for some weird reason, so instead, I wound up with a Cherry one like the one on the back cover of Matthew Sweet's 100% Fun. Seems like no matter which color you got back then (except for maybe the turquoise), someone famous was already known for using it. I bought it new, online. It is one of the very few guitars I've ever bought sight unseen. Well, I saw pics in the Ebay listing, but I didn't play it first, which I normally like to do. But it turned out great anyway. It has the perfect neck profile (thin) for my hands, and it sounds great. I love it!
duane v
I'm now embarking on an Epi Sheraton II project. It's appears to be good quality and can't wait to piece it together. i think this is my first Chineses.... well I think it's made in China guitar. I heard one down side of rebuilding/restoring a Chinese guitar, is that 20 minutes after finishing one, you're "hungry" to build/restore another one. Quote btw i had a musicians friend catalog from that time and wanted the turquoise casino SO bad Yeah, I've only seen one in person, and it was sold so fast I never got a chance to get back to the store in time to snag it for myself. I've still never seen anyone playing one live, but I know they're out there. I think that was part of the appeal, at least for me. A Casino in a very cool color that no one else was playing. Since I have the red one I certainly don't need another, but I'd still be tempted if I ran across a turquoise one at a good price today.
