TommyK Posted October 1, 2009 Share Posted October 1, 2009 Quite common in Appalacia and other economically depressed areas back in the day. I think Doc Watson got his start on one of those. Heck, I think most who ever played The Ryman Auditorium in the early part of the last century got started on something like that. I think oat meal boxes were popular for resonators chambers.
