Riverside
Did any of us watch the Smithsonian Channel run up of Folkways Records? If you like Lightnin' Hopkins (Or Lead Belly, or Doc Watson) - or whoever else, you might want to check this out: http://www.folkways.si.edu/ It was the founder's idea that anything worth recording was worth keeping in print - even to this day. Dang - we're lucky that there were (and still are) people who felt that way.

jannusguy
i'm aware of this project and hope to avail myself of it soon. i recently saw "it might get loud" and listened to jack white wax admiringly about son house ( i think). i would expect he would be in these folkway's chronicles. Ever one o' them folks PLUS some was entertainin' us whilst we was a-pluckin' and a-whackin'. But I haven't had much time to see any TV these past few months so I naturally missed the Smithsonian project. Thanks for the heads-up.
