That one lead guitarist from the band "Heart" he has some really cool licks.

 

 

That one lead guitarist from the band "UFO" he plays some killer shreds.

 

 

Niel Shawn and Rick Derringer.

 

 

Roger Fisher for Heart. Sing Child Sing is a fantastic rock song.

The studio version is a lot better that this

Michael Schenker is well known as a fantastic guitarist

Derringer isn't as well known now, but he used to be known as an amazing guitarist and producer.

I'm a big Billy Duffy fan myself.

And have to throw Robin Trower into the mix. He is sooo good, I love his style.

I find it interesting that when this type of question is asked, guys tend to just start naming famous guitarists. I don't think any well known guitarist is underated or he wouldn't be well known.

 

As for my choice, I will simply say the name of a great guitarist that has pretty much flown under the radar here in the states.

 

He played on a couple of Budgie's best albums and his axe was an SG

 

Tony Bourge. Look him up and you will find great music.
