Being sunday, I was playing my guitars...

...and was hoping to give each some 15 minutes of good playin' but when I came upon my standard faded Les Paul, I just couldn't put her down, it's been a couple hours now... still on my lap.

 

The Les Paul is the best guitar gibson makes!

By the way... I took out the pickguard again (in hopes of achieving AXEtone) and am thinking about taking out the TP6 tomorrow when I restring her.

 

What do you guys think? I love the ability to fine tune at the bridge but the color of that thing just drives me nuts: it's chrome while the rest of the guitar is nickel!)

I like soild gold parts...but those cost as much as a vintage goldtop..

Well, "I" like the TP-6, for the mass, and fine tuning reasons, you stated.

That overides (for me) any color/finish considerations. But, you should do

what you like, most...always! If it really "drives you nuts," try it, without it,

for awhile. You can always put it back on, later.
