As I recall The Edge used those pickups Fernandes makes that keeps the string going for as long as the battery holds its charge. He just held this crazy arse note purely distorted note for so long. The Fernandes Sustainer. I have a Fernandes Ravelle Elite with said Sustainer in it that I am selling . He used his Fernandes Strat (and still does) for "With Or Without You" live. Edge is easily one of my top 5 fav guitarists. Give me Achtung Baby over any U2 album any day. I am not overly impressed by shredders. The only 2 I like are Joe Satriani and MAB. I like some Malmsteen. I like players who play for "effect" like Edge, Hendrix and Gilmour. They make you feel something with what they play.
