Been to soundclick and I'm not trying to profit anything on these covers and don't want to hassle with publishing issues. Myspace just ain't my thang either. Witmer Posted January 14, 2010 Share Posted January 14, 2010 Legally, recording your covers at all - not selling them, just recording them - counts as use of the copyright with all the attendant issues. But, recordings of live performances - which are legally the venue's responsibility, not the performer's - often seem to get a pass, and YouTube is so full of them that you're very unlikely to generate complaints if you use it as your distribution medium.
