ChanMan
Ya got a lot of feeling in there, sir! Sounds to me like all you need is a Bar on Beale Street and a band...
Dom_JEM
Ya got a lot of feeling in there' date=' sir! Sounds to me like all you need is a Bar on Beale Street and a band... thanks for the kind words tbh though, im always trying to get more feeling out of the guitar....im not sure if the "scruffiness" takes away from that :-
ChanMan
My wife tells mes that the Blues seems to, uniquely, allow for a certain amount of scruffiness. It adds character and depth. But what do you mean by scruffiness? Maybe I'm missing the point...
Dom_JEM
But what do you mean by scruffiness? Maybe I'm missing the point... things like, not hitting clean notes etc... things what other guitarists see as mistakes
duane v
I dig that..... It has that free-wheelin Jimmy Page Dazed and Confused vibe to it[thumbup]
ChanMan
things like' date=' not hitting clean notes etc... things what other guitarists see as mistakes[/quote'] I thought so. I heard nothing in there that I have not heard at either a live performance or a recording of a live performance. But, so you'll know how I judge folks... If I'd dropped a reasonable cover to go into a bar and you were playing, I wouldn't feel cheated If it helps at all, I'm working on tightening up my sound now. I practice my leads and riffs very slowly and make sure to exaggerate the motions. Over time, I get to where I don't miss as much when I speed up. My white whale at the moment seems to be controlling the strings I'm not playing...
