GuidoBlackmore
Hi all, I recently bought a Gibson Sg faded. For many years I have had Epiphone g 400. normally I play a Fender Stratocaster. My question: when i switch the pick up selector in the centre position (to use both pick ups) my Sg works with full neck humbucker and half bridge humbucker. This is normal? I believe that in this configuration both microphones worked half... P.s. Sorry for my poor english.
tbonesullivan
what do you mean by half? there is no coil splitting involved in the specials. You are getting both humbuckers mixed together, with the signal ratio controlled by the volume knobs for each pickup.
GuidoBlackmore
Hi, thx for your answer. In my Sg faded the bridge pickup works with half humbucker when the selector is in the central position. At the neck the humbucker works 100%. Maybe in this guitar, with 490t at the bridge instead the 498 this is normal?

Yew
interestingly, on my 61 reissue, i cant control each pickup volume sperately, the neck control does it all......
