Apparently a Canadian luthier went out of business, so Gibson bought their facilities and is now making acoustics in Canada as well as Bozeman. The one I played was a CLM, a concert grand model. Really nice sounding, with Gibson headstock and everything, and the price was right! $600 with a case. Confirm? Deny? Sounds like nonsense to me. guitarstrummer Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 Gibson bought out Garrison Guitars in July. They are now manufacturing the Garrison's under the Gibson name. If my information is correct, most will be lower end models. I would think that they'd probably just rename the current Garrison models, at least until they're off an running. But I'm not sure, though.
