StevieB
I love the neck shape and neck profile of my Gibson ES-175. And i know that it is a 1 11/16" neck width at the nut. My question is, does Gibson offer this same neck shape and neck profile in a wider neck on any of its acoustic guitars?
Gilliangirl
StevieB, what is the neck profile on that ES? C-shaped? Flattened C-shape? Rounded? Some of the other Gibby acoustics have wider nuts, like the Advanced Jumbo, but I don't know if the neck profile is comparable to an ES?
Murph
My ES-339 has the 30/60 neck, and it's GREAT for the 339, but it would be far too skinny for an acoustic in my humble opinion.

I'm not real good at describing neck shapes, but I'd say it's a C. One of the reasons I am asking is that the Gibson website provides little to no important spec info on their guitars. I don't understand that. My ES-339 has the 30/60 neck, and it's GREAT for the 339, but it would be far too skinny for an acoustic in my humble opinion. Hey Murph, what is a 30/60 neck, is that the radius?
