artmaker
Has anyone tried this out or purchased one? Saw it in a Musician's Friend catalog I just received.
jamester
I own one, in red. Fantastic guitar, unique tone and voice, feather light. Feedsback easily though, and I wasn't impressed with the stock pickups so I changed them. While I do love it, it's no substitute for my 335's... vincentw
Musical feedback. I'd grab this guitar in the studio with a small tube amp for a real driving rock sound where you'll want controlled feedback. Could be trickier as a stage guitar but I'm assuming you could work it out with your gear. Jazz would be no problem and I think Grant Green used to play a 330. Notes_Norton
I've got an old 1970 ES330 and it doesn't give me feedback problems, but then I try to keep the volume on stage to a sane level. I've also got an Epi Casino, with Duncan P90s, and I like the sound of the Duncans better. Better midrange without sacrificing any of the highs. I'd love a new cherry or blue 330, but two similar guitars are enough for my budget. Insights and incites by Notes

Insights and incites by Notes Is it an Elitist model or the regular one? The 330 dropped to 2000 from 2400 last year at Christmas time....it'll be worth waiting if they do that again. dylanita
I´m a lucky owner of a new 330 from the custom shop in Menphis. It´s a great guitar.. Great tone for jazz, blues and even country (the p 90s are amazing) and fantastic look but forget it if you want it for playing on stage with high gains or an "animal" drummer (you know...) because you´ll have a lot of uncontroled feedback (the body doesn´t have a central block of course...) This is mine. I bought it on january 2010.

Notes_Norton
Is it an Elitist model or the regular one?<...> The Casino is a regular one. Made in the Peerless factory in 2001. The workmanship is great. I bought it used. I went into GC with the intention of getting a new one, but the wood grain on this one just looked better than the others they had in stock. The previous owner installed Grover tuners, Duncan pickups and US sized pup switch. I put the witch hat knobs and the black pickguard on. The Gibson I bought used for $300 back in the late 70s. Acoustically the Gibson sounds better. Could be better wood, nitro finish, nylon saddles, or the bridge in a different position due to the higher fret access. I don't know, it just does. To my ears, the Casino sounds better amplified, I'm sure that's the Duncan pickups speaking. I love 'em both. Insights and incites by Notes ?
