deepblue
In this months Guitar World, they asked Joe Bonamassa if todays historics are compatible with real bursts from '58 to '60. His reply... " A guitar is a guitar. Whether it was made yesterday or 51 years ago, if its good, it will stand the test of time. I have played about 20 real bursts in my day, ranging from brilliant to so-so. I think the stuff coming out of Gibson Custom is as good as my original vintage Gibsons, and sometimes better. Its subjective, but thats my honest opinion." If I post this at the LPF, certain guys will want my head on a stick!

Mr. Natural
Joe's da man. Hey, deepblue, have you also read yet that article on SRV's early days? I think it's a hoot that Stevie's No. 1 had previously belonged to Christopher Cross. There's also a good interview with Jimmie Vaughan.

Riffster
This reminds me of Oliver Lieber who owned 4 Bursts but his favorite guitar was a '64 SG.
