Californiaman
Anybody know anything about the Seymour Duncan STL-3 quarterpounder? I listened to the audio files for his pickups today and really liked that one. Seymour Duncan Audio Files
Murph
I "almost" bought a 1/4 pounder years ago when I was gigging a Strat, but never did. I just turned up the Marshall........ B)

Dub-T-123
Which Tele are you considering the swap for? I know nothing about Tele pickups but I like what I've got so far..
Rocky4
I think you trade off some of the classic Tele sound for output.
Californiaman
I've kind of been toying with the idea of buying a mahogany esquire body I found on eBay. It's a beautiful body and I'll build a parts esquire. I thought because it's for more of a rocking sound I'd want the quarter-pounder. That's all. I'm just wondering about building a guitar. Dub-T-123
That sounds awesome Cman! I think you should do it. Sounds like a pretty fun and rewarding project. The Esquire basically a Tele with just a bridge pickup right? Kindof like a Les Paul Junior? I think the quarter pounder seems great for that. You already have two other Teles for everything else... Tman5293
Why not just go buy the esquire?
Dub-T-123
Sorry to keep bombarding your thread... I just looked up that body on eBay and I think I found the one you're talking about. That thing has some pretty extreme grain. How were you planning on finishing it?
