Angus Young Signature

+1 for solodallas. He really does have the sound and technique down. Definately the best non-Angus Angus I've seen/heard. I'm a huge DC fan but go more for Malcolms tone/style. I cant play solos worth a damn but I reckon I've got Malcolm down. If only I had his timing =D>

I also second the props for SoloDallas. I've definitely learned a lot from him. He actually had the Angus Sig at one point but sold it because he has vintage instruments that sound better.

He does know he's famous via youtube and the Gibson site, but he's very humble - he's a regular on lespaulforum.com. Great guy, I'd love to jam with him.

Yeah it would be sweet to jam with SoloDallas!

I think Angus probably doesn't like his signature, considering he never uses one. But then again, he designed it himself, so I can't imagine why he wouldn't like it.

The No Bull DVD looks good, too; I really like Boogie Man. I've got Plug Me In, Family Jewels, Live at Donnington, and Stiff Upper Lip Live. I wouldn't recommend Family Jewels; most of the songs are just videos played over the studio recordings.

Ken361 and Daneman: You guys are so lucky!

andrewruel: I thought he had an Angus Signature, and I wondered what happened to it.

You know, I've actually seen him angry before, which is strange considering how calm and nice he always is.

When?

I, too, have thought it a little weird that Angus never uses his own signature, but he probably also has vintage instruments he likes better.

andrewruel: Some porn website put an advertisement/comment on his video and he flipped out. And yea' date=' I'm sure Angus has plenty of excellent vintage SGs... =P~

ken361: I've never gotten to play an Iommi SG; how is it?

[/quote'] I love it now! I was playing a epi les paul for 9 months and I always had an eye on this one, its best for metal and hard rock but I can get a good clean sound out of my amp also. I like it more over the les paul, the paul feels and sounds kinda like a toy compared to the sg plus I really like the longer neck on it. Plus it has iommi gibson pickups you cant go wrong. I like to hear the emg's though. I had to tweek the amp because these pickup seems a little less bright.
