Bluemoon
I just ordered a combo. The guy said all the VJ amps in stock are about a year old. So would that make it a v.2 or v.3. And how can you tell? Also, what would be a good replacement speaker for the combo
Eracer_Team
Hard to believe that the stock is a year old... must be a music store that doesn't move much stock.. Look for 8 vs 16 digit serial numbers, and whether the on/off switch has an i/o on it. 8= Rev2, 16=Rev3, i/o=Rev2, no i/o=Rev3. Other difference you'll have to pull the back cover off (about 6 screws) and look at the output transformer. 7.5k on top is rev2, 5k on sticker is rev3. Bluemoon
Thanks. It is a pretty large/popular shop. I think he might have meant that all their stock is within the past year. I don't want to bug him too much about it. They are throwing it in for free with my new Gibson LP.
