rpedro
ok I need to know which are the way to go... I am sticking with 10's as everyone on here has recommended... and I might try both types, or maybe even all three which is better in the Dunlop line the 10-46 medium strings or the 10-60 heavy??? thanks again I have included the pics of them for you... Whitmore Willy
Rpedro, I've always been a fan of 10-46's. I also pick light and keep my action low. Brand wise, I'm no expert. Why don't you roll the dice and then let us know what you think?
mrjones200x
i go for last 3 strings of 9's for 3 high strings and first 3 strings from a set of 11's for lower strings. Find you get really good powerfull riffs with super bendy bottom strings for soloing. My choice tho. Prob gonna go up to full set of 11's for tone, plus i wanna drop tune down 1 1/2 steps! Biff
Looks like my earlier post disappeared.. well, take the 10-46 set, after playing a few months try something heavier if you're ready for it. 10-60 is a great set but the bottom strings are almost as thick as your fingers. For dropped tunings the 10-52/54/60 are a hoot but the heavier strings may need some adjustment to you nut slots...
thunderstruck507
tried the ghs ones before, was not impressed broke the corner off my nut on the G400 as well, so I tossed the strings and put on a bone nut
