Pre 1999 LP junior question

Hey, I'm thinking of buying my brother an epiphone LP junior for his first electric, but I'm getting one with a P-90 because of the better sound.

Is the stock P-90 of good quality?

Would I do better to buy a GFS P-90, or even get a newer junior and a GFS mean 90 instead?

Do they still make a Jr. with a P90? I thought they discontinued that version? I bought a used 2006 Jr. recently with a single humbucker which I've since changed to a GFS Vintage '59. Sounds great to me' date=' and much better than the OEM pup.[/quote']

No. hence "pre 1999"

Yeah' date=' good luck finding a P-90 Junior. Good luck finding [i']any[/i] Junior. You might have to settle for sticking some GFS P-90s into a Special II.

Already found a P-90 junior(praise ebay) and i have a new junior on tap from MF.

Yeah, everybody hates people buying online, but.

There are NO authorized dealers of ANYTHING in my town.

Or anywhere less than about 4 hours going 80 MPH on I 75 from here.
