pohatu771
I was at Guitar Center this morning, looking for a stereo patch cable for my keyboard.. so of course, I looked at all of the guitars. I don't usually look at the hollowbodies, since they haven't changed the stock in six months, but today I did... They had a new Sheraton II for $399. There was one right next to it for $599. I wanted to buy it, but I'm not in the market for anything over $50 currently. Well, I am, but my checking account isn't. They also had a G-400 in Heritage Cherry for $299... I wanted that, too. I've never found an SG I quite liked, until this morning. Figures.
RotcanX
I'm kinda skeptical about this 'heritage cherry' that Epi is bandying about WRT their G-400s... all the ones I've seen lately are the same plain old 'cherry'... it's kind of hard to mistake the orangey shade that is heritage cherry for anything else. I've seen a few Gibson Standards and a Classic or two as well as the '61 reissue which are all 'heritage cherry' but I've yet to see a G-400 in that colour. pohatu771
After looking for it on Musician's Friend, it must have been a '66, because it had the big pickguard and the Limited Edition seal.
charlie brown
$399?? Was it "shop worn?" Why the big difference in price? CB
