Stevie Nazarenie
i saw one site saying that the epi active pickups were emg's. http://www.epiphone.com/default.asp?ProductID=298&CollectionID=18 the website above makes no mention of it. is that true? it would make an alternative to the g400 le emg. and has a trem and is cheaper. if not how do they compare? iansmitchell
The epiActives can also be used without battery, as a lower output alnico pickup. EMGs don't work without batteries. As for tone, hellifIknow.
RotcanX
They're pretty new on the market and as yet I haven't had a chance to try 'em. I doubt, however, that they are EMGs.
