New case for my Casino Elitist

After reading up the subject on this forum, I decided to get myself a nice new case for my Casino Elitist, took the plunge and got me one of those fancy Hiscox cases.

I'm glad I did that, it's a far better case than the original one - and I relegated that to hold my Peerles Dot (in waiting for its new Duncan Seymour Seth Lover Humbuckers).

You learn a lot from this forum. I must say that the dot may not have the right material, but the handcrafship on both instruiments is incredible good! Don't regret buying the Peerless (I was considering buying an ES-335)

Thanks for the input to help me in my choices!

Cases are a bit of a crapshoot for me. I have hsc's for all of my Epiphones, and only two of them are alike (the two Reissue Sheratons, with a sort of soft vinyl on the outside). No two others are alike.

The Elitist cases are all pretty darned sturdy. The case for the non-Elitist Sheraton is.....different.

Speaking of cases...does anyone KNOW, who makes/made the case for the John Lennon Casino, and the "assembled in USA" JLH Sheraton's? They're the same case, but the JLH has (obviously) no Lennon Silk screened artwork on the outside.

I've written to Gibson-Epiphone, but have yet to receive an answer...which is unusual, for them. They're usually pretty good about answeing my inquiries. So, if one of you knows...please let me know, so I can get one for my Sheri.

Thanks,

CB

My Sheraton Reissues (I think mine is the same as yours....sort of an orphan) came with a case with sort of soft covering more like upholstery vinyl than Tolex. When I asked Gibson-Epiphone about that guitar, in general, they ignored my question.

Well, at least you GOT a "case!" Mine came in the standard cardboard box! I bought a TKL case, which is nice/fine...but,

it's not the case that was advertised with the guitar. MF told me, they blew those guitars out, without the case...but, a

guy I know, bought one the same time I did, from them...and his came WITH the case! MF played dumb, and...after much

complaining on my part, sent me ("free") the cheapest POS case I had ever seen. I wasn't about to put my beautiful Sheri in that!

So, I'm still looking! The TKL is fine, for now...but I really want to find the proper case, that was supposed to be with that guitar...

even though I'll have to purchase it, when it should have been part of the original purchase. MF should give lessons on how NOT

to treat their customers...LOL! It's strange, though...as most of the time, I've had decent luck, with MF. So...???
