Epi Riviera XII - any good?

The subject says it all really.

If anyone has any experience of playing one I'd like to hear from them?

How do they compare to other 12 strings etc?

I've been looking for ages and can't find one anywhere! O:)

I've seen a couple of very nice vintage ones but the £££'s are a bit to high for me to justify!

Nice 12-string! Especially the "Elitist" versions, IF you can find one.

Wider neck (at the nut), seemingly, than my Ric's, but I'm used to the Ric's,

so that's no big deal. But, if you have larger hands/fingers, you may like

a bit wider fretboard? Sound...ummmmm, the best thing I can think of is,

that the Riviera has a bit "edgier" tone...due to the mini-humbuckers. Ric's

are cleaner (to me, anyway)...and have a very distinctive "jangle." Some prefer them, other's

prefer the Epi, or some other brands. I've been a Ric 12-string player for

decades, and wouldn't think of changing. BUT, I might buy a good Epi Riviera

12, just to have the tone variety.
