Sheesh
Well, i'm posting this on behalf of my friend who owns a John Lennon EJ-160E. What do you guys recommend for polishing it ? Will carnauba wax work ? (I know these stuff work on electrics, but I'm unsure whether it'll change the sound of an acoustic.) Thanks !
bluezguy
Try the whole 3 piece kit of Gibson's cleaning products... 'Luthier's Choice'. It includes a bottle of Hi-Gloss Polish, String Cleaner & Lube, and Fret Board Conditioner. Forget about the 'designer' stuff or automotive waxes. The Gibson stuff is inexpensive and does the job!!!! I've been using those 3 for years... even on my Fenders. J
stone1281734000
I'll polish my guitars like once a year. Gibson or Martin polish is fine for Epi acoustics. In between I just wipe everything down(hardware and strings too) after playing with a clean, soft cotton cloth. If you have a satin finish guitar don't use polish, just a clean damp cotton cloth. The_Buffalo
I have a spray bottle of Fender guitar polish & one of those yellow polishing cloths that I've used for years on all my guitars, including my EJ160-E. Just remember when you're spraying it on the guitar, "Nothing exceeds like excess".
theDeuce
I only use polish made for guitar. Other types may have silicone in them.
