If you mean the player, I'd have to encourage it but talk to your son's teacher about whether a lefty person should try to teach themselves to play a righty guitar - they might have more dexterity in thier left hand. To flip a guitar around, well, that's going to take some work on the nut (a new one), the bridge (either flipped around or new saddles entirely), the polepiece height (different stagger on lefty fixed magnet single coil pickups), and you still have the controls up under your forearm and the cord sticking into your armpit. Then there's the strap button to contend with and a single cutaway becomes useless. Now golf clubs, you can't flip those around at all. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
