frenchie1281734003
After offering to help Jubaea, who needed a Lennon reissue Casino TRC, I thought it might be an idea to make a batch up for fellow forum members. After all with originals being offered on ebay for $150 USD!! we could all do with a much cheaper alternative. These TRC`s are hand made using modellers plastic card, paint pens, and Decal stock, and are based on the Lennon 65 Casino TRC dimensions, so be warned you may have to re-drill your screw holes. The first pic shows top row. Two ply Black/White TRC with the "E" hand painted with a paint pen. Second row Black/White TRC with Decal "E". Third row White/Black with paint pen "E"(Riviera type, request from Charlie Brown). The bottom two were made using a slightly thicker "E"(early trials). To clean them just dust with a paint brush, or lightly wipe with a dry soft cloth. Close up of painted TRC. Close up of Riviera TRC. Two of the painted Black ones and two of the Riviera (White) ones are going to Charlie Brown, and some (not pictured)have already gone off to other members. So if you are in need of one drop me a line, and I`ll ship one off (don`t all rush I`m a one man band here, and despite reports to the contrary, I do have a life). I don`t charge for these, and they are not an exact factory made replica, but i think they look pretty good, and nobody would know from a foot away! charlie brown
Looks good, Frenchie... Question: Have you tried a stencil pattern for the "E", and spraying it? Just curious...and, possibly another alternative, for you. But, they look good, especially from (as you say) normal viewing distances. I'm sure My unsteady hands would never be able to do that! LOL! Good Show...and, by the way...Thanks, so much! I'll look forward to recieving mine, in the "post." Cheers, CB
Ricochet
Nice job! I almost feel bad I don't own a Casino!

Cheers, CB[/quote'] I did use a stencil Charlie, then lightly marked inside it, which formed a fine ridge, within which I could paint/decal the "E", that way it wasn`t proud of the surface. The paint pen I used is actually permanent, and I really didn`t want to use paint, in case it came off. But keep the suggestions coming.

Incidently, which do you want of the Black ones Painted or Decalled?

LOL! (Just kidding)... I just appreciate your efforts, and generosity, Frenchie... Most kind of you! CB
