New Casino's to old ones?

You're asking a very vague question and it would strongly behoove you to fine tune your concerns. The Casino has been around for fifty years so a new verses old is a large and variable time line. So I ask of you, how long is a piece of string?

CB ask something along these lines a while back and we had a rare visit from a moderator!!! he said they are trying to be more accurate to the older models now in all respects since they now have a dedicated Epi only factory, tuners, head stock shape and size and body shape and size. Getting them back closer to the '60s models.

Yeah, and we haven't heard a word from him/her (the moderator), since! Strange...

Originals: Kalamazoo made (USA)...neck body joint at 16th fret, Gibson P-90 pickups, and electronics...Nitro paint finishes.

All others, either Japanes, Korean, or now..Chinese made. Korean and (some) Japanese versions have the neck

joint at the 17th fret...Asian hardware, pickups, and (mostly) "Poly" finishes. The Exception being the "Elitist," which still have

the Poly finishes, but very lightly and beautifully applied, and USA hardware, pickups and electronics. The "Elitist" Casino,

is (unfortunately) the only "Elitist" model left, in production. Why? Who knows? And, Gibson/Epiphone "ain't talkin'!"

Any speculation on our part, as to "why?" is just that...Speculation...educated or othewise (mostly othewise!...LOL!).

You can "Google" Epiphone or Epiphone Casino, and get a bunch of information, that way, as well.

Cheers,

CB
