Hello.

Recommended Posts

Hello folks.

This is my first post here so I figured I'd just say hello.

Nice site you have here.

Seems like a decent bunch of people.

i am a guitar owner, as opposed to player but I have about 25 real nice ones.

one was featured in "20th Century Guitar" magazing April 2007, I think.

(It wasn't an Epi) but...

I do own a 1969 Epi Texan acoustic. Great Guitar.

I must have owned at least 25 Epi's in my lifetime...

I may have more amongst my gtrs.,

but I forget right now.

Epiphone, even with the recognition it has,

is still an underated brand, for the mosdt part.

But... you know...

the prices are going up on the models that were historically a pretty decent bang for the buck.

Just like evrything else, I guess.

a friend of mine who posts here turned me on to the site and I am glad he did.

Hope you don't mind me stopping by from time to time.

:P

Thanx.

Oh yeah, since this is the electric gtrs. category...

I want me one of them dar Epiphone Korina SG's.

That is a sweet lookin' axe.

Welcome! A new "face" is always good.

Pics of some of your guitars would be nice.

Most of us post pics of our Epi's, but we also show Strats, or Teles or whatever you

have that may be of interest.

Welcome, over! It's good to have you here. Maniak is one of my forum buddies and one hell of a player too! I second that you post pictures of your axes ... we do love our guitar porn here.

Again ... nice to have you with us and I look forward to reading your posts!

thanx for being so kind.

easiest thing for me to do to show you pictures of my axes would be if I post a link to my website.

If you don't mind me doing that.

I think, to get to see the axes there,

click like "blog" or something and then

up top

you will see "guitars"

click on that.

there's a bunch of photos of some of my gtrs.

nowhere near all, but some.

they ain't great photos.

I have to take better ones.

But I hope you like some of them.

thanx so much.

www.over700songs.com

there's a link up top left to some vids.

if you care to look but...

i don't want you to think I came here to promote my website.

I didn't...

it's just the easiest way to get you to photos so i sincereky hope you don't mind.

i am a gtr. nut.

epiphones included.

Some real beauts there, over. A real Ibanez fan, I see ...

I had an original ar5000 back in '81 myself. I was gigging steady in Chicago and it was my main guitar. I absolutely adored that fiddle ... I remember mine having a beautifully carved back as well. Unfortunately a very contentious divorce and some tough economic time parted us. Now you can't touch 'em for love or money. Well ... maybe a LOT of money!

I don't really get overly sentimental about guitars ... they are tools of the trade and an means to an end most of the time ... but that axe will always and forever be "the one that got away" for me! Congratulations on such an amazing collection! By the way ... you are quite the player too ... I like your stuff, sir!

thanx Midi.

You are way too kind.

way.

I had 2 ar5000's until about a week ago,

I let one go, the '81.

the 2007 is unplayed and is serial #003.you wouldn't happen to have the serial # oof your 50000 wouldya?

Maybe I can track it down for you.

I got # nice/rare axes plus $2k for the '81.

One of the axes I got is the ar500cs in the guitar section there.

it's a teeny photo,

wait til you see

a larger one.

outrageoius gtr.

plus...

an ar500 is an ar5000, minus the vined neck so...

I hated parting with that axe but finances dictated it.

and i prefer alot of thing about the ar500cs over the ar5000,

but not the neck.

neck on 500 is awesome.

neck on '81 is God's gtr. neck.

it's heaven.

I appreciate your kindness but...

I just consider myself a songwriter and gtr. owner as opposed to player.

I just hack away at them.

I can't sing ewither but...

I do because I wrote the song so I just sing it.

I have written over 700 songs,

as you may have guessed.

I have a record coming out soon.

it's called "Horses" and the vid is on my site... or youtube.

i am posting a new/better version soon though because...

tonight I recv's the lead vocal, rhthm gtr., and mandolin tracks

up from Nashville.

Now I go to Brooklyn,

finish it there,

ship it down to Atlanta where Shut Eye Records

is promoting the song and

gettin' it on the radio down south.

so things are rolling along and I am

pretty excited about it.

I don't know the slightest thing about music but...

I never let that stop me!

I just write songs and play them.

Pretty simple and...

I like nice gtrs. around me where I can reach them.
