TWANG
a lot of Lagunas this time out.. not half bad but.. pretty lousy set ups.. a bit more glitz than goods it seemed. Anyone got one? and the new dano.. hey I'm sorry but boy that looked really clunky in person. I'll take the sears version thanks. Lot of vox amps.. and the usual stack of marshall Solid states. couple of used crate V5s I was tempted to give the epiphone treatment to. Nothing really caught my attention though this time. midiman56
Yeppers ... we got a fair restocking of Lagunas in at my GC as well. The more expensive models (about $350 or so) aren't bad guitars and are actually a good value compared to what that would buy in some other brands: AAA quited tops, rock maple necks (bolt on), high ratio tuners that seem to work really well and double-dipped Alnico V pups. The cheaper ones are ... well ... less exciting! Laguna does make the nicest starter-pack, IMHO ... due mostly to the inclusion of a pretty hot Line 6 amp instead of the transistor radio that most of them seem to come with! Did you know that Laguna was actually owned by GC? Lot of bang for the buck when you cut out the middle man. Might be worth looking at if you are ever in the market for a Squire or something of that ilk ... Jim
