I have an epiphone firefly 30 dsp combo...
cGil
Before you drop a wad on that, hop over to PPwatt and check out the 5E3 VJr-conversion project threads. There's a group-buy gearing up that you might be interested in. http://www.ppwatt.com/5e3-mods If you're hard pressed to do it with a turretboard, you might want to consider doing your own shopping. Here's a good spot to find most everything you'll need http://www.turretboards.com/ Here's a good place for discount iron. http://www.musicalpowersupplies.com/ Their 18watt OT will sound great in a tweed Deluxe, by the way. And here's another. http://www.edcorusa.com/%28X%281%29A%28DJ6ro5CBygEkAAAAZmEwZWU1MTctNWRhNC00MjFiLWEwNTYtY2JhNGE2MjRiYmM3lGsgAMCwoTOZ7R3P-LUqC3f9uHc1%29%29/Products/Default.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 Gil... cGil
Then you should consider the cost of a chassis. A cake pan will work, but a chassis in a cabinet is easier to carry; plus, it'll help keep your tubes and rugrats much safer and out of harms way. When you add it all up, you may find this is precisely why a lot of folks are buying so many VJr's to rebuild! And you can save even more if you get a used one, or a dead scratch 'n dent from a big box distributor. Gil...
