BlueMeanie
Is this a real vintage casino? Thanks guys! http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-1966-EPIPHONE-CASINO-W-SUPER-COOL-OLD-HARDCASE_W0QQitemZ250515427137QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar?hash=item3a53e20f41
pohatu771
It's real... but don't expect it to stay at $600. I'm estimating around $2700... not the maximum vintage Casino price, because it has the Epiphone vibrato.
zombywoof
Looks to be righteous. Serial number is in right range, the neck joins the body at the 16th fret and so on. Agree with the above post though - price will probably skyrocket just before the auction closes.
clarkuss
Non original pickups but I saw one in much worse condition sell for $3000 a few months ago on ebay.co.uk
brianh
Too bad about the pickups. Would have been better to leave it with the HBs in instead of doing a half-assed retrofit of P90s. Both of the major price guides would categorize this Casino as poor to fair condition because of that foolishness. Is it just me or do you guys have a problem with someone calling a significantly modified guitar "vintage"? Vintage to me means original or close to original condition, even if it's seen better days. BlueMeanie
Thanks for the reply guys! I know the price will definitely go up before auction ends..
Lord Summerisle
2 days left and the current bid is still only $577.00 Agree with Brian, it's been butchered and the retrofitting of contemporary Epi P90s will make the collectors avoid this one like the plague. Could be a good project and resultant player's guitar, but I'm going to pass on this one...
