ReneBoedker
I've had my guitar for about a month now, and I really love it. But the neck starts to feel a bit tacky, and I suppose it is due to the flood of sweat my hands will excrete during play. I've tried to wipe the neck with kitchen roll after use; sometimes starting with a slightly damp cloth - It just doesn't seem to help that much. Is there a better method? Any help will be appreciated.

duane v
micro fiber cloth. Dead on... That's what my Luthier suggested to me.
mbrooks0711
Go to your local shop and buy some guitar polish. Pretty much any designated guitar polish will work (DO NOT think that something two dollars cheaper like car polish/turtle-wax is the same thing). That plus a microfiber cloth and you will be back good as new.
duane v
guitar polish on the fretboard[confused]
matiac
Chamois cloth works pretty well too, just make sure it's real lambskin, the fake stuff will scratch your guitar. That and good old breath has always worked for me, unless it really needs to be cleaned, then I use the aforementioned chamois, and Harris' "The Boston Creme" polish, and have yet to be disappointed. mbrooks0711
I'm sorry disregard my comment. When he said "neck" I assumed he was talking about the BACK of the neck. No guitar polish on the fretboard. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

ReneBoedker
Actually he did say neck..... Maybe the thread starter can clarify..... Actually, I meant the back of the neck and not the fretboard - I thought neck refered to the back. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough.[/quote'] You were clear, it was my misinterpretation....... Sometimes the neck and fretboard get fused together. But the micro-fiber cloth works great on the fretboard and neck
ReneBoedker
I've just tried the micro fibre cloth (on both neck and fretboard), and it seems to work very well. Again, thanks for your help!
