hussky Posted March 8, 2010 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Can anyone tell, can i put a solid bridge on my new Epiphone Casino and get rid of the Adjustable bridge. i did this on a gretsch 5021 and it really made it sound better. You need some adjustment on height in any case. If you are talking about exchanging the individual string adjusters on a T-o-M for a wood or metal compensated bridge, you can try it. Not sure if you will have enough compensation in the bridge for the G string, and unlike a floating bridge..you can't move the posts on the Casino bridge. Hussky P.S. when i did my Gretsch it really made a differance in sound, i just don't think that a bunch of movable little nuts and screws make a good set up, but this is just my opinion. and the next change i am going to make is a bone nut. The postholes on my CCCs had to be enlarged since I had "modern Nashville" type TOMs . Standard CCC is an older LP ABR-1 type with the small posthole. Good luck! alfsboy Posted March 8, 2010 Share Posted March 8, 2010 I think you will find that changing any hardware on most modern Epiphones brings a tangeble improvement .Just changing the bridge and stop tail on my Dot to Gotoh improved it no end .The stock fittings are just about adequate but poor quality and lack any real weight.some call the stock hardware Crap and I cannot contradict them .Its usually when you buy the better quality stuff you suddenly compare it and the penny drops . IMHO its the main quality difference between Gibson and a Chinese Epi for pure sound and playability . Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Here's a little tool from the CCC site to check the radius: http://www.comptonbridges.com/sites/default/files/pdf/radius.pdf I'm pretty sure if you ask nice, Wayne could make a custom radius for you.
