belligerentfuture
Hi all- I bought a used Les Paul on craigslist, but I can't figure out what model it is from the headstock. Serial has it as Unsung Feb 1997 unit# 0050. Picture of the headstock is as my avatar--its mirror imaged (taken with my webcam). As you can see, it only has the Epiphone across the top, and no "Les Paul" signature of any kind. Is this a counterfeit? Thanks!!
Hungrycat
Does it have a bolt-on neck? If so, then it's probably an LP-
animalfarm
Any pix you are able to post of complete front and back would be of great value in ID-ing the git model. Worst case, if unable to use image hosting site, just post pic of front of git as avatar, then describe how neck is attached - as Hungrycat has mentioned - bolt on, or set/glued neck? belligerentfuture
Ok front is now avatar. It is a bolt-on neck, so that means a 100, right? I just got confused because other 100s I saw had a "Les Paul 100" signature on the headstock.
ReneBoedker
It's an old Les Paul 100. As regards to the signature, I think they have put it on the newer models, whereas the older ones do not have it. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.
belligerentfuture
Is there anything bad about a late 1990s 100? It plays just fine, seems to have almost never been used...

Note headstock in pics that follow, Gits made in Korea, late 1990s...
