Casino .... Epiphone on the way

Recommended Posts

Just recently bought a Casino too. I had the Sunburst one though as it looked AMAZING when I saw it hanging up on the store wall. The sounds I get are fantastic, I love the rawness of it and it's simplicity. I play mainly punk/garage rock and it is perfect for this. Love the P90s!!!

I had a Epiphone Casino acouple of years ago and sold it to get a Gibson 330 L and returned it because it would not stay in tune so Gibson sent me another 330L and I had the same problem and once again I returned that guitar .

So here I am again getting another Epiphone Casino and Ive taken a trip or so around the block and should have kept what I originally had .

Ive yet to play a Casino that has not played and sounded well and the only issue I can think of is the bridge on these guitars make a bit of buzz on some . I may put a Bigsby on this one at some point or another but Im in no hurry .

The bridge will buzz on most Casinos/330s. I go and do the nail polish trick every few months or so because if you hold an open A chord near an amp with a big speaker, the resonant frequency will cause the body to vibrate so much that the wire works its way out of the polish and starts rattling again. I've come to accept that violent vibration will make buzzing pretty constant.

Those 330Ls are fantastic...but Gibson needs to dump those tuners. Horrible tuners. My friend has a 64 330 and it plays fantastic...though we both agree that my Casino sounds better B)

Well just bought a Casino inspired natural finish looks to have some nice

modeling in the wood .

Love bursts and my Gibson es 335 is but wanted the natural look for the casino .

g6120, that's a fine looking guitar. Look's just like Mr Lennon's (John). Wishing you many years of playing

pleasure with that.

I'm looking at your avatar with the Gibson headstock and just smiling to myself. It has those little dings on the top

portion of the wing. I have a Gibson CS-336 and I have some dings like that in it already. They're mainly from accidently

hitting the drummer's cymbal as when we gig sometimes were in close proximity due to the size of the stage, or lack thereof at the particular venue we're playing at. :)
