mcmurray
I found this introduction to be pretty thorough. Check it out if you're interested in transcribing music. http://www.seventhstring.com/resources/howtotranscribe.html
pippy
Very Interesting article. I've only downloaded TAB once and, unfortunately, it was a very poor transcription in it's layout but it DID show me what notes I should be playing and when - it was only let down by the 'where', which had been written out by a particularly dim-witted monkey. mcmurray
Don't get me started about internet tabs lol. The vast majority are riddled with errors. Guitar Pro has gone a long way to fix this, it's great being able to listen to a tab to know if it's correct or not, plus it forces the transcriber to input rhythm information which is vital. vourot
I finally bought Transcribe after using the trial version a couple of times. Its a work in progress but developing my ear will take me to the next level. Glad to see that others like to use the program as well. Good post!
