vincentw
Look at the photos of Woody Guthrie and Emmylou Harris: Guthrie is not playing a Southern Jumbo and Emmylou is not playing an L-200 as the captions indicate. Does anyone wanna tell us what they're really playing??
vincentw
Also don't you think Jorma should get a little more attention for his acoustic guitar skills? Embryonic Journey....

Rambler
Not unexpectedly, kind of superficial and rock-star oriented, My beef would be that it doesnt distinguish between guys whose defining sound was Gibson (BB King comes to mind) and those who may have had one pass through their hands (Edge). A late-'30s/early-'40s Gibson L-0 and a ... well, let's just say J-200, although that number may be a bit off. -- Bob R

zombywoof
Yeah, Woody's guitar definitely appears to be a late 1930s or early 1940s L-0 and not the banner SJ.

vincentw
Wow.... Thanks for posting this song. This is powerful stuff. Sometimes important songwriters, for whatever reason, slip by you. Most of my encounters with some of the most moving songwriters have been random...fortuitous events. I count this as a fortuitous event too, because I somehow knew that I might take a beating for not knowing, yet I asked anyway. Glad I did. Thanks again for posting the song. KL
The song Streets Of London by Ralph McTell was selling 90000 copies each day at one point. It was a massive hit record and has been covered by literally hundreds of artists. He has released over 40 albums.
