I got a new amp done this week. EL34 power tube. sounds neat!

took her freaky vacuum cleaner and knocked a tuner right off my sheraton. Busted the shaft so it can't be fixed.

Gotta buy a whole new set of gold grovers now.

That EL34 amp sound sweet, need more details.

 

Bummer about the Sheraton mishap. But I'll buy 2 or more of your old Grovers off you if you want - I need the gear shafts for a resto I'm doing...

new OT stock PT (does the trick) EL34 power tube.. 12AX7 preamp tube.

gain tone volume standby

hand made the board.

I've a stock BH15 here and the Epi beats it for tone and it's neck and neck for volume.

this was made to not be so much of a bedroom amp. that is it could stand up even with cleans at small gigs

and for dirt do very well.

A strat into it . well. I love it. I haven't got my lp together yet.. so I can't judge that.

right now my guess is I need to tweak the bottom end a bit more.

I built two because I want one to keep this time.

 

it still will do low volume, in fact the tone is thick and rich low. but no dirt there. you gotta turn it up for that.

but a nice pedal in front and it's good for not making mom and dad nuts but still sounds good.

It seems to be a bit funky when I plug pedals in and out quick, but that's just a jack I probably didn't center quite perfectly. common when I put in the new panel, gotta dink with it to get the washers the right thickness.

Overall, I was really impressed. A friend built one and bragged it up so I borrowed his parts list and what do you know. nice!

whatcha gimme? can't use five tuners for anything may as well part 'em out.

I'm keeping the imperial buttons though for the next set I buy..

I may have some gold bean buttons I dunno.
