midiman56
After weeks, if not months of making fun of the Epiphone Wilshire, I now find myself GAS'ing for the damn thing. We have three of them at the store (white, black and burst), and aside from the typical, set-up/action issues, these things play and sound GREAT! These are the full-size humbucker models by the way. The necks are much beefier than I normally like, but for some strange reason, I am really digging these guitars. With my discount, I can pick one up for a song ... oh God! So ... those of you that own one of these ... either confirm my feelings about this thing, or talk me out of it! LOL Jim
Hungrycat
I'm gonna hold out for the Epi-trem version.

Whitmore Willy
Jim, Not much help here with the GAS issue. When I went shopping for the set neck special they had a couple of Wilshires in the store. After years of waiting, there I was, looking at a guitar I was hoping Epi would make. (the L.E. Special) When I saw the Wilshires I almost talked myself out of the Special. Had I had enough money (and one less wife) I would have bought both! Southpaw
I'm gonna hold out for the Epi-trem version./quote] (I messed up the quote) Is that a rosewood insert on the tailpiece?
Hungrycat
Is that a rosewood insert on the tailpiece? I guess so... That's certainly what it looks like. We'll know for sure when it comes out, won't we?
efduncan
I got one of the MF closeout $169 deals. So far, it's been great and it had to cost more than $169 to make the thing. Very pleased with it.
