Minor damage at home. Some rain infiltration that seems to have come from wind blown rain getting in under the ridge vent.

We did batten down all potential projectiles in our yard but missed one that took out a solar powered sidewalk light. A brush pile of tree trimmings was scattered to the next county.

This is probably a record extra tropical overland cyclone for the US. It ranks with super blizzards of the past.

The weatherman reported, "Bigfork, MN at 4:33 PM (10/27/2010)recorded a central barometric pressure of 954.6

millibars, or 28.22" of mercury."

Here in Jersey we have light rain and the wind is blowing at about 7mph, really not worth mentioning. After reading what happened yesterday in the mid-west, I was expecting much more.

It's not moving very fast. There appears to be a Low pressure cell centered north of Lake Nipigon in Ontario. It has been moving slowly eastward. Oh, it's coming your way. Just be forewarned.

My link

Nipigon is that smaller lake north of Lake Superior. The swirl of clouds extends a tail all the way to Oklahoma. Any colder and we'd be shoveling an immense amount of snow.

The breeze here is still pretty stiff, gusts to 40 mph. Should abate by supper time.
