milod
Matt... The Dowland piece was lovely. It also sounds pretty much the way I think Dowland should sound. How much difference would you expect from a more "lute" type instrument? Would that somewhat soften the guitar? Your wife has a very, very nice voice for this type of material. It also makes for a great duet. m
Duende
Chris Cornell I completely agree with. I You Know My Name, from Casino Royale, is up there with You Only Live twice in my favourite bond Themes too! Milod, Cheers again. If I am honest, I feel I am the fake of the two of us, because I am not playing the Lute and the Classical Guitar is so modern in comparison! I feel like I am sticking out like a sore thumb I think a lute would be so much better. I tried an 8 course (?) lute at a shop called hobgoblin that specialises in early instruments. After taking ages to tune it (I am feeling exhausted recalling it even) I was surprised how quickly my fingers felt at home on it. Basically January this year is going to be a gypsy jazz guitar purchase and then later a lute...a gibson 335 can wait in queue LMAO Matt
milod
Matt... Naaaah.... You sound great. I'm just wondering more about softer, more gut-like strings and perhaps playing on the neck side of the sound hole? Just curious. It's a great piece... m
