Lungimsam
Far out, looks like an SG with lungs, or wings. I emailed Frank to ask him about the axe. I'll let you know if he answers.
cabba2203
It looks like a custom pickguard, custom controls (4 knobs and a slider selector switch)and has 3 single coil pups. Strat setup SG. Here are some picks of it: http://www.foxroxelectronics.com/FM1.html
Lungimsam
@cabba: Thanks for the info and link. What a massively modded SG! If that is the same one as in the video I posted, then that is one seriously old SG! The only other SG that is that overhauled, that I have seen, is one of Toni Iommi's. Frank is definitely the tonemeister. Both in sound and technique. He is such a clean player. I remember the first couple of his LPs I got when I was a teen. I was so influenced by his playing. I used to sit back, intoxicated by his beautiful solos and songs. Too bad he never got the recognition he deserved. One of the greats!

cabba2203
Too bad he never got the recognition he deserved. One of the greats! I agree, he is very underrated in the guitar world, same with Robin Trower. I never understood why that was.
