Marcus20VT
Hi - what would be the best and/or most cost effective case for my MIJ Casino?? I've seen a couple on flea-bay at £70. Are they worth a punt?? Thanks
tweed1
I bought one off of ebay 4 months ago and it fit well and seems sturdy enough. That same guy has one up right now, $54 + shipping. You'd have to contact him about shipping costs to (I'm guessing) GB, and I haven't kept up with exchange rates, but that may get you something cheaper than what you've been looking at. One thing, you mention best case and cost effective. Which do you want? Seems that I've seen Elite cases and JL cases come up once in a while (cool factor and/or best). But unless you're touring or travelling a lot, any hard shell case that your guitar will fit well in should keep it safe. I don't think you'll find a new one cheaper than $54 (cost effective). Congratulations on your MIJ. I looked for one for quite a while and had to settle on a MIK, then do upgrades. Enjoy. Wait for it.................pictures? Marcus20VT
Hi Tweed1 and thanks for the reply. I don't need the case for travel, just storage. With 3 little mini-me's rampaging the joint continuously, the Casino needs hard case protection!! $54 sounds pretty cheap, but with postage and VAT (uk tax now 20% - eek!) I imagine I would be better buying one here in Blighty. Pics you requested? Your wish is my command - I never miss an opportunity to show off my Casino!! Please see link below. You should be able to access some pics there - I'm not very good at this whole distribution thing, so please tell me if the link fails. Thanks Casino
frenchie1281734003
Marcus, you can also search for generic 335 cases, because they will fit as well. There are bargains to be had out there in the £35-45 price range. Steve.

tweed1
Marcus, beautiful guitar. The case I bought and was speaking of is typically for a 335. The Casino fits nicely. 20% VAT? Holy crap! It could be worse, last time I was in Costa Rica, it was 50%! Local sounds more doable. Good luck and have a good year.
frenchie1281734003
Cheers Steve Isn't there a headstock size difference? Won` affect the Casino because of the neck being set deeper into the body. Steve.
LongMan
Sheratons don't fit,btw Why? What's the difference between a Lucille and a Sheraton in terms of size? Seems the Lucille has the same headstock shape as the Riviera, but that is only less than a quarter inch shorter than the Sheraton (or Swingster/Broadway) headstock. I got me an Epiphone ES type case, and all my ES type Epis (Sheraton, Riviera. ES-335) fit in there perfectly. Got only one case for all 3 guitars, as I do only carry around one guitar at a time. BillyGibson
Epi case. I was originally sold a "335" style case that was designed to fit an Ibanez AS(something). The body fit nicely. But when I got it home I noticed the the guitar was actually being supported by the back of the headstock. The neck was not resting on the groove where it was should have been. Perhaps it was because the angle of the Casino's headstock is steeper than the Ibanez. I took it back and ordered an Epi case on -line. Great fit.
