lazarusvt84 Posted January 12, 2011 Share Posted January 12, 2011 I have a Spider VALVE 40W (Bogner design-ish) and it's an excellent sounding amp...warm, excellent response. I don't use much of the modelling capabilities though ...but it's truly a sweet amp. My son's Vox AC30cc is sitting next to it and he prefers the warmer tone/response/reverb of my Spider Valve. We also had a Spider III (212, 150W) and it was very so, so....sold it to a newbie pal of his to make room for the Vox. My son also plays out of a Line 6 M13...nice...but he wants Line 6's new Pod HD 500. Bottom line...there's a world of difference between Line 6 solid state and their tube amps....
