RUSHian
About a year or so ago, I saw in a guitar catalogue, an affordable Gibson Les Paul (around $900.00) . I was stripped down simple, no binding, a humbucker in the bridge and a P90 in the neck. I think there was a honey burst, cherry, and I think tabacco raw finish. Looks similar to the Gary Moore signature model. Any tell me the model name so I can find one? Thanks!
Xinnix
I can only guess by the price that it was a Studio of some sort. As far as a Tobacco finish on a Studio? I haven't seen one. The Gary Moore comment could indicate that it might be a Standard Faded, which did come in Tobacco. But they were a lot more then $900 and were discontinued in 2008. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will have more info.
pippy
There was a humbucker / P-90 equipped LP called the Les Paul BFG. It was certainly 'stripped-down' looking...might it be one of these? They came in a wide variety of finishes. P.
StijnV
yep; you can find the "standard" specs on the following webpage: http://www.gibson.com/Files/USA_PDFs/BFG_LP.pdf
DestructorsKillMusic1982
Sounds like the BFG, but there was also a Studio BFG model that was briefly made, no binding of course, P-90 in the neck, some kind of Burstbucker in the bridge. I only ever saw one in Ebony, not sure what other finishes were made.

I believe that you are thinking about the Gibson Les Paul Studio Ebony with BFG electronics from the Guitar Of The Week 2007(week 25) It only came in Ebony like you said. RUSHian
I would have liked to have gotten the distressed gold version. I think I will get Gary Moore's signature BFG. I don't like the Ebony with the tremlo.
DestructorsKillMusic1982
I think you're right Xaj, that looks like the one. Those were nice, I'd love to see one in Pelham Blue I believe that you are thinking about the Gibson Les Paul Studio Ebony with BFG electronics from the Guitar Of The Week 2007(week 25) It only came in Ebony like you said.
