Todd68 Posted June 24, 2011 Share Posted June 24, 2011 Hello. I was shopping to replace a R9 I had sold when I came across this R8. It's a very limited colour run that was ordered for the dealer. I think only 4 or 5 were ordered total in this colour. Anyways, it is officially listed with Gibson as Duane Allman Burst. I had a few darkbursts in the past, but really wanted one on the redder side. This is 8.4 pounds, nice top, super dark board ... well it's the whole package for me. Here are a few pics for you (and for those on the Custom Shop phones). Thanks for looking. Just realized I should have put this in the Historic spot. Oh well! I think yours is officially called an "Allman Burst" as the tag shows but maybe I'm wrong about that. Great looking guitar. If it plays half as good as it looks, it is a killer.
