Kimbabig
the pre-amp make the amps distortion, and tone. while the amp itself gives it power. an effects loop separates the two. edit: I said map instead of amp!

Kimbabig
it may be a line out of sorts, so that you can use your amps distortion into another amp, but it may be the amps effects loop. what amp do you have? If I know I can better help.

Tman5293
My amp has the same connections. It's an effects loop. If you plug into the preamp out nothing with happen since it's an out jack. Not sure what would happen if you plugged into the power amp in jack. It's intended for effects pedals. The preamp out plugs into the input on your pedal board and your pedal board's out put plugs into the power amp in jack on your amp.

rct
A LAB in good shape is a great thing to have. Footswitch for reverb on/off I believe is that jack. I don't know why they felt it important to turn it on and off on the fly, but I do recall that being it. I hope it serves you a long time! rct
