Murph
I think sometimes it's the wire. How can the saddle rattle with that much pressure on it? I'm kinda new to it, but it's driving me nuts. Different things make it quit, at different times. Reminds me of my ex wife. I could just.... whoops, nevermind. Murph.

Murph
After much research, (the last hour or so) I'm convinced it's the wire. The only pupose of the wire is to hold down the saddle, when the string is removed, eh? So, if the wire was dipped in teflon, bubblegum, or mule snot, it would probably rattle less, no? I am amazed that Gore Tex has been slacking so much to have not realized that they could "Own" this wire. $10.95, available at Musicians Friend. Serious, I'm amazed that I hear it to be such a major thing, but it hasn't been fixed yet by Gibson. Stay tuned, the bridge is fine, it's the wire that rattles to the point I can hear it in a live gig. I'm thinking Teflon. Best of luck. Murph. Tim Plains
Murph, I would (and did) just do what one guy said in the link that I posted above. Worked for me: I put a little downward kink/bend in the wire between each screw to add tension. It looks kind of like this —v—v—v—v—v—
