Upgrading bridge on LP Jr.

I too wanted to get a wraparound bridge with adjustable saddles for my SG Jr. So I got a Badass-style wraparound off ebay.

I hated it. With the saddles sitting on top, it has a very high profile. It was impossible to get the action to a decent level. The action was much much too high.

So next I tried a Wilkinson Wraparound. MUCH better! Nice low profile. And it made the guitar sound better as well.

Here's a link in the DIY thread where I review it (with pics). http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/70490-new-wraparound-for-jr-is-great/

I believe I am familiar with the wrap around that Brad is likely talking about in the beginning of his reply.

He is correct about the height. They are attractive for their price. $20 from Ant Hill Music. $36 from Stewmac.

I also bought one. It is not an instant fit and this is what you will go through if you buy one:

The one he linked you to would be a good choice. It can be purchased for a reasonable price from Guitar Fetish.

For $28 it has an adjustment for two saddles. You can further use the stud spacing screws (on the back side) to adjust the angle of the bridge. This gives further adjustment.

The same one is available from Stewmac with 2 adjustments for a total of 4 adjustable saddles. You can likewise adjust the angle of the bridge.

It is $44

After that the price just goes up. Between Allparts, Stewmac, and just about everyone else you will have many choices. The one you DO NOT WANT TO BUY is the one in my link. It is at the top right on this link:

Update:

Well, I got my Epi LP Jr. about 4 or 5 days ago, and I can say I'm actually quite happy with the stock bridge, it seems to be quite well intonated all the way up the neck. I'm still thinking of getting the Wilkinson bridge in gold for purely aesthetic reasons, (I figure the gold will go nice with the Antique White finish)I'm planning on on going for gold hardware throughout (tuners, screws, etc.) as well as a new pickup with a gold cover with a more vintage sound and a coil tap to get a litle more tonal variety. For now, though, I'm quite happy with the guitar the way it is. Any suggestions on a pickup and tuners?
